About The Department

Hindi is an Indo-Aryan language. It is the main language in India. It is the fifth most spoken language in the world. The Devanagari script is used to write Hindi.

The Department came into existence in 1936. Now it has MIL programme. The department is planning to start several new courses and programs soon.

VISION

  • To develop proficiency in the Hindi language.

MISSION

  • To develop the ability to use the language effectively for the purpose of practical communication.
  • To enhance ability to communicate effectively and acquire the pronunciation of native speaker by means of spoken Hindi.
  • To strengthen student’s ability to analyze, interpret and evaluate all forms of literary expression.
