About The Department

Telugu is the most spoken Dravidian language. It is one of the twenty-two scheduled languages of the Republic of India and the second most spoken language in India and 15th largest spoken language in the world.

The Department has MIL programme. The department is planning to start several new courses and programs soon.

VISION

  • To develop proficiency in the Telugu language.

MISSION

  • To develop the ability to use the language effectively for the purpose of practical communication.
  • To enhance ability to communicate effectively and acquire the pronunciation of native speaker by means of spoken Telugu.
  • To strengthen student’s ability to analyze, interpret and evaluate all forms of literary expression.
