About Department
Established in 1982, the Department of Home Science has grown into a distinguished academic center. The department offers a Bachelor’s program (B.A. in Home Science) with an intake capacity of 16 students, introduced in 2023. The undergraduate curriculum follows a Choice Based Credit System (CBCS), providing a flexible and comprehensive learning experience.
The department is equipped with two classrooms, one laboratory, and one storeroom, all supported by well-functioning practical equipment.

Our vision is to empower female students to address everyday challenges by utilizing available resources and developing entrepreneurial skills at various levels, enabling them to become self-employed.
Mission:
Our mission is to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary for both personal and professional life, fostering holistic development with a strong emphasis on entrepreneurial abilities.
